Bought my new Form 6 uniform. Total = RM 120 for 2 sets. Pretty expensive right? But what to do? I’m fatter than my sister, I can’t fit into hers. Mother charged it with her credit card, so I need to ask my father for the money to pay her back.

Ah, and I bought 3 original VCDs:
  • The Day After Tomorrow
  • Umizaru
  • Sepet.

Wanted to buy the ‘Hikaru no Go’ soundtrack and the movie ‘Quill’ but didn’t because for the former, I’m 100% sure my mother won’t pay for it while the latter is recorded in Cantonese. I wish to find the original one recorded in Japanese. Hope to find it soon.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com Miscalculation

Usually whenever I buy facial wash, shampoo or body soap, I’ll smell it first before buying. A step I do to make sure the smell won’t be too strong for my nose. Those who know me well know I have sensitive nose. I once went for treatment at Gleneagles Intan Specialist Centre (very expensive). But eventually, I found out there is no cure except long term medication. So, I stop receiving any further treatment.

Today, when visiting Mydin Wholesale Market, I thought of trying out a new facial wash. After reading the info at the back of the bottle, I told my mother I want to buy it. We paid and went on with our shopping in Central Market and Kota Raya.

After arriving home, I thought of giving the facial wash a sniff. EWWW… it’s smelly. God, how can I forget to give it a sniff before putting it in the basket? Sister said I really ‘Sat Chak’ this time. She reminded me that even though it’s something I bought before I’ll also smell it first. So why did I not do it this time? Miscalculated is the answer.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com My world

It was raining cats and dogs.
I was playing the piano.
The same old exam pieces,
Scales and arpeggios.

I banged the piano as hard as I can;
In hope to match the thunder’s roar.
Neighbours might be complaining,
But I don’t take a damn what they say.

For a second,
I felt peace in my soul.
Nothing to worry,
Nothing to care.

I am myself.
I live in my own world.
The world of music,
And the roar of thunder
.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com The new hang out destination

For the past few weeks, friends have been asking me to joint them for outing at Sunway. First there was the skating group (Squall, Guardog, Mr. MY, XL). I declined their invitation because Sunway Piramid is too far for me. My parents don’t let me go there with friends. A week after that, they asked me to joint them once more but I still didn’t nod my head. Then friends from the school band invite me to joint them at Sunway Lagoon. Haiz… But I still can’t make it.

So, have Sunway becomes the new popular hang out for youngsters?

A boy’s mother was called to school because her son was caught red-handed for stealing a book from his classmate then claim ownership on the book.

Discipline Teacher: I’m afraid I need to give your son a warning letter.

Mother: Why? My son is a good boy.

DT: But he has more than 20 wrong doings recorded since January already!

Mother: Where is the book in question? I want to see it.

DT: I gave it back to the real owner of the book.

Mother: Why you give him back the book? *What a silly question to ask*

DT: It’s his. Of course I give it back to him.

Mother: I still don’t think my son done it. He never lies. If he needs money to buy the book, he can ask from me. I always give him when he asks.

*Shake head* The boy was caught red-handed and the mother still want to back him up. Nowadays, parents are just unbelievable. Can’t they just accept the fact that their child done something wrong and need to be punished?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com Pathetic lifestyle

Guess which day in the week is the most I look forward to. Ta… da… Sunday. Not because it’s a family day which the whole family will go for an outing together but just because that’s the only day there will be 2 newspapers for me to read; The Star & Sin Chew Jit Poh (Mon. – Sat. only The Star). Usually I’ll use more than 2 hours to finish them.

After holidaying for more than 5 months, with nothing particular to do, I really want to have my school life back as soon as possible. At lease if I’m in school, I’ll have things to learn, to do and friends to chat with.

May 17th PLEASE COME FASTER!!! I don’t want to have this kind of life. I want no more of sleeping, eating, online-ing, reading novels, watching TV, doing housework and GAINING WEIGHT life.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com KL School Band Competition

I met Siu Yan at Wangsa Maju LRT station. Together we took the LRT to Masjid Mamid (right spelling?) Jamek. *Proud* we found the right way to Dataran Merdeka (first time going there by ourselves + two also no sense of direction). Reach there about 7.30 pm; managed to watch a few school rehears. We were shocked to see so many Chong Hwa students at the scene, mostly dressed in red. With ‘Chong Hwa School Band Jia You’ banner and school badge flag up too. Competition only started at 8.40 pm because of the late arrival of the Mayor of KL.

VI was the clear winner of the night. They also bagged the award for ‘Best Uniform’. St John’s performance was much better compared with what they did on the 26th of March. Their Drum Major didn’t drop his maze too and eventually be the owner of the ‘Best Drum Major’ award. They came in second. CBN was third.

Chong Hwa, well, want can I say? Their performance was quite disappointing. They have the quality to at lease get 3rd but didn’t seem to let it out that night. Looking back at how good they performed on the 26th, they can *maybe even* give VI a run for their money. From what I can see, they were too nervous. Their tempo was getting faster and faster. Eventually, that will affect the whole formation, steps etc.

This year Chong Hwa went back empty hand. But I’m sure they will learn from they mistake and get stronger in future.

Conclusion made after the competition, I rather be a band member than be a supporters or on lookers. Why? Because if you were to be a band member, you don’t need to say ‘Excuse me’ if there’s anyone blocking your way; they will automatically make a path for you to cross. :PDPDPDPD

Image hosted by Photobucket.com Motorcycle test

Sat for the motorcycle test on the 6th of April (the only Chinese female present); I failed. It will be considered a miracle if I pass it. How do you expect someone who only rode on a motorcycle for less than 7 hours (~ 4 hours on an auto, 3 hours on a manual) to pass the test? But still, I was quite down after that. I wanted to cry but have no tears. No other soul at home to comfort me too.

Anyway, my mother agreed to let me retake the test at Ipoh next time. I think I’ll take it after my STPM. By then, I’ll have plenty of practices. I will be 19 but never mind, I know I won’t be the oldest! :)

I was an illegal resident for 2 days. The driving school’s uncle took my IC and L licence to issue my driving licence. Parents asked me not to go out of the house. XD

On the 8th, I got my IC back with the driving licence. The uncle also gave me 2 ‘P’ stickers. After mother came back from work, she said I can stick those two on the Proton Waja. I was puzzled as my mother said before she won’t let ‘new driver’ use the auto Waja. But this time she said I can sometimes use the car. Yay!!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com From March 24th to April 1st

24/3 Thursday
First motorcycle lesson. Instructor was not a friendly guy. Since I’ve never ride a manual motorcycle before, I faced some problems regarding the brake. For your information, manual motorcycle has a leg brake which controls the back wheel’s brake. While the automatic ones, you use your left hand to control the brake. So in order to control the brake, I need a ‘brain-wash’ – use leg, not hand…Use leg, not hand. Haiz… Instructor didn’t let me try out the ‘titi’ and the ‘8shape’.

After the lesson, rush home to have a bath (the helmet provided stinks). Simply ate lunch then off I go to school to watch the school band (CHHSB) rehearse. Meet ex-members at the restaurant behind our school. According to them, 12.45pm rehearse cancelled; only going to rehearse at 3.30pm.

Plan changed. 6 people using 2 cars to reach Times Square; watched ‘HITCH’. Got home late because the movie started late plus bad traffic. Parents were furious when I reach home. They gave me a feeling I’m going to be grounded if I ever reach home late again. -.-

25/3 Friday
Went to the dentist first thing in the morning thinking finally, my lower jaw will be braced. Yet again, I’m disappointed. The dentist only tightens the upper jaw. New gadgets were inserted. Now I have 2 springs in my mouth; one on each side. If they ever snap, I need to go back to the dentist straightaway.

Missed the ‘Hari Cemerlang’ ceremony because of the dental appointment. Thought I will be able to attend it after the appointment but when I called Lee Siong around 10 am, he said the ceremony was over. Didn’t even found out how much I was supposed to get.

After lunch, took a taxi to school. Finally got to watch the school band rehearse. Formation was quite good and music too; just the movement not very neat (wrong leg, steps not following the tempo etc.). I wonder how they will beat VI and St. John with the current condition.

26/3 Saturday
Kuala Lumpur Zone School Band Competition. Need to reach school before 6.30am. Siu Yan’s mother came and picks me up. After more than 6 months, my band t-shirt, band badge and name tag finally ‘Chong Jian Tian Ri’. According to Miss Lee, all schools can’t bring any supporters into the school compound. But when the competition started, it was a complete different story. Supporters from VI and St. John out number even our own students.

CHHSB did us proud when they successfully made it into the final which will be held at Dataran Merdeka on the 9th of April, this Saturday night. The other finalists are Victoria Institute, St. John, Convent Bukit Nanas and Cochran*dunno the real spelling :P*. “Yao Guai Mok Guai.

30/3 Wednesday
Finally got my reward for scoring 8 A’s – RM 100. Miss Lee sent it over to me. I got the band competition VCD too; burned by, of course Miss Lee. Sister got an offer to be a temporary teacher at Chong Hwa since the school currently lack a few teachers. Miss Lee asks her to go for a walk in interview the next day.

31/3 Thursday
The second motorcycle lesson. I did almost the same thing like last time only that the instructor gave me the chance to try out the whole course once. ‘8 shape’ was easier than I thought. I get through it easily. But the ‘titi’ was a different story. I can’t stay on the ‘titi’. I even fell down when I go through the ‘selekoh tajam’. Oh, I brought my own helmet there this time.

1/4 Friday
The last motorcycle lesson. Sigh… I did worst than yesterday. ‘Titi’, never get through even ONCE. Oh god, how am I going to pass my test next Wednesday? I can’t balance the motorcycle single hand, means I can’t use hand signal. OMG… OMG… What can I do? Who can help me? It’s the last lesson and I’m still not familiar with what I should do to pass the test.

After the miserable lesson, I went home and quickly finish my lunch which was cooked by my sister. Her cooking was good. But she forgot to cut the beef into smaller pieces. Because of braces, I can’t stuff too big piece of anything into my mouth. Ok, enough about the food thing. After eating and cleaning up the dishes, we leaved house for KLCC. Took LRT, then rush to TGV at 4th floor. Make it just in time to catch the 1.30pm ‘Miss Congeniality 2’ staring Sandra Bullock.

Weird thing is the sits in the cinema was all wet. My sis insisted that it was caused by the air-con. But I felt that my jeans is getting wetter and wetter. What makes the condition worst was that a girl sitting on my right side have body odour. Oh gosh, why am I so unlucky that day? Every time she do a slight movement either trying to adjust her sitting position or reaching for her drink, the stench will straightaway come to my poor nostrils.

After the movie, we went back to Wangsa Maju and boarded a taxi to school. Sister needs to report her interview result with the MoE to the Afternoon In charge. Guess who was the taxi driver? Pn Siti Zurina bt Salleh’s (a teacher in SM Chong Hwa teaching science subject and the teacher advisor of the Kadet Polis) father. The world is small.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com Did he did it or not?

When I was working at the side office, he brought a woman home; used this house, that room, that bed. I found out about them sometime later. I packed my things and leaved this house. After sometime, he went to the side office to ask me to go home with him. Promising he will never meet the woman again or do anything similar like it, I came home with him. You won’t believe, even their break-up fee was paid by me. Guess how much that woman asked for? Only RM 2000. Aren’t she what the new generations call ‘cheap’?
That was what my mother told me somewhere in March 2003. The father whom I respected for more than 15 years(I was in Form 4 by that time and haven’t celebrated my birthday yet), believing he is a faithful, honest and reliable husband as well as a father. How can he do this to my mother? The subject was brought up at dinner table by me *of course without my father’s present* one night. I have been curious for many years after I found my parents’ marriage certificate in the drawer of the dressing table; why was my sister only born after they were married for 7 years? Bare in mind, my mother was 28 when she married my then 31 year-old father and I’m only younger than my sister by exactly 2 years and a half. So, it means she gave birth to my sis when she was 35 – considered ‘Gao Ling Chan Fu’.

I really needed someone to talk to after that, so I told one of my close friends about it. She was stunned to learn the news, as she had met my father a few times before and always thinks that he is the kind of man who won’t do anything unfaithful to his wife. He doesn’t even look like one. Every one thinks his is a 'Ya Sei Hao Lou Dao'. I was not keen to talk to him for a few days, but stop that action after discreet thinking; it’s good enough he didn’t do it again, after my sis and me were born, right? And he is taking good care of his family now; providing food and all the necessities.

So, the subject was considered closed. But everything went wrong a few weeks ago after my mother *we call her M* heard something from her colleague *lets call her A*.

A: eh M, Miss Wong was complaining to me that since you started working here, your husband didn’t call her or invite her for lunch leh… (Miss Wong is my father’s ex-colleague in her late 30s or early 40s)

M: Really? I never ask my husband where he has lunch or with who he eats.

A few days later…
Miss Wong: eh, you guys wanna go have duck rice *stall very near their work place* ah? *after hearing A and M’s conversation*

A and M: Yes.

Miss Wong: M’s husband loves the duck rice there. I was the one who bring him there.

Later that night after dinner…
M: Miss Wong told us today that you like the duck rice there wor…

F: Oh… Yea, the duck rice there is good. Very delicious.

M: I’ve been working there for almost 1 month and you can’t find a time to tell me the duck rice there is good? And I need to find out that you love it from your EX-colleague?

F: … *take his plate, fork and spoon, leave the table*

M: *Make sure F was out of ear shoot* I wonder whether your father notice the way she wear her cloths.
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Torpor and sis: …

Last night, when father came back from OT – 10pm
M: Where have you been?

F: Huh?

M: Why is your shirt not tucked in properly?
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Torpor: *sense some sparks coming out of M* Maybe go toilet liao didn’t tuck in properly le.

M: If go toilet didn’t tuck in properly should be in front, not the back.

F: Just now get down from the car maybe stretched until the shirt came out gua… *walk up stairs to change into house wear*

M: *F puts the shirt in the laundry basket* You better clean it before you put it in if it is CONTEMINATED.

F: *Rise voice* I came straight back from office OK?

I think my mother is getting more and more sensitive by day. Things may get worst now that my father said he will not be eating dinner every weekday for a month because he has a project to rush. It’s only the first day of his month long OT and something like this happened. And now my sister is not at home. I’m just like a sandwich; between my parents. What should I do? And is he really working? Or he is doing something unforgivable?
